Customer Support Engineer

A well-established security startup in the South East Bay is looking for a Customer Support Engineer to add to their growing team. You will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting their product, which is a secured server cluster.  This position requires a jack of all infrastructure trades that have been involved with setting up and maintaining networking equipment, servers (Windows, Linux, VMWare), and are familiar across key enterprise infrastructure technologies and services (networking, server, storage).  You should be expected to utilize this skill set to further the development of their core product.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Must have the ability to configure and administer Linux, Windows, VMWare (any additional hypervised servers would be a plus)
  • Must have ability to configure and administer Routers, Switches and Firewalls
  • Must have at least 2 years of customer facing experience

Desired Skills & Experience 

  • Other plusses include experience working on security products, working within startups, and/or supporting storage, backup, or other IT equipment
