Help Desk Engineer

Company in the heart of Boston is looking for a resourceful individual to work on the service desk team and take care of end users while also doing a lot remote support. They are targeting people with a great personality in a very customer facing role.

You will have the chance to grow your skillset immediately and really get to the next step of your career. Strong candidates will have experience in active directory and remote support.  

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1 - 4 years IT Support and/or Desktop Support
  • Strong communication skills
  • Very strong writing skills utilizing the rules of English grammar;
  • Verbally clear, concise, and grammatically correct oral (speaking) communication skills in English
  • Experience, ability, and willingness to provide end user support
  • Experience with Windows OS Platforms: 7,8,10
  • Experience Microsoft Office Suites, 2010-2016, O365
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong functional use of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Agile (Scrum) preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communications
  • The ability to work collaboratively and to communicate technical concepts clearly and accurately

What You Will Be Doing

  • Provide excellent IT support user experience to employees
  • Manage urgency and prioritize tickets, understand and follow up on escalations, and ensure troubleshooting & resolution for local and remote users help tickets/issues
  • Propose and administrate additional service for end users
  • Provide support for software installations
  • Engage with other teams for more complex requests
